Lapping the edge is done by moving in the direction of the edge. The papers are designed to be moistened with water during sharpening. Lapping can also be done dry.
Note: The cuts are self-adhesive; for application on KMFS Blank Stone Rival stones, the use of KMFS Blank Stone TAPE double-sided tape is not recommended.
